Guess what, yesterday morning I've gone on the boat.... oh, right, the boat is here!! Myself, Jamie and Shane brought it to Killary Fjord on Wednesday night. We left Westport with high tide just before 8pm and motored all the way to tie up at the mooring in Killary around 12:30am. Short trip, calm seas, we didn't even put up the sails, still enough to get me very nauseous. I must admit, memories of last years seasickness came right back and I got quite anxious... All part of the experience.
But where was I... right, yesterday morning I've gone on the boat to scrub the deck. I went wearing runners and, obviously, got my feet soaking wet after 15 minutes of work. So I'm getting back down into the dinghy cursing my naivety, I get ashore, cycle up to the centre, and just as I am looking for some dry shoes to wear Jamie calls me to the office where a box full of sailing boots arrived from Dubarry Ireland- our generous sponsor! Could you imagine better timing?
